Cocktails, Comfort Food & Catching Up: Our “Girl Dinner” Night at The Ridge

If there is one thing about me, it’s that I’m always a “yes” when it comes to a cocktail, a good dinner, and a long yap session with one of my girlfriends.

When an ad popped up on my Facebook feed for “Girl Dinner” at a spot I hadn’t been to yet, I immediately tagged all of my friends who share my love of espresso martinis, salty fries, and gossip as sweet as the dessert menu.

The Dover location has been open since 2023 and operates as a true brunch spot, open 7AM–2PM, seven days a week. The Rochester location, at The Ridge, opened in spring 2025 and keeps the same daytime hours. However, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday they stay open until 8PM. On Thursday and Friday evenings they offer their semi-viral “Girl Dinner” menu from 4PM–8PM. It’s a prix fixe menu for $30 per person that includes a cocktail (or mocktail), a starter, an entrée with a side, and dessert.

We sat at the bar, and for being in a strip-mall location we were pleasantly surprised by how cozy the interior felt. The space has a mix of concrete, wood, and black industrial finishes with touches of greenery. As the weather starts to warm up, there’s also patio seating outside.

We began with espresso martinis—one of our favorites—and they did not disappoint. For starters, I had the classic Caesar salad, which was fresh and well dressed. My dinner companion chose the Brussels sprouts with cranberry and feta, which had a great balance of sweet and tangy.

For our entrées, I went with another classic: chicken tenders and fries. The portion was generous, the honey mustard was perfect, and it was exactly the comfort-food moment I wanted. My dinner companion ordered the steak tips with broccoli, which were fresh and cooked perfectly.

For dessert, I had the tiramisu, which was rich and creamy. My friend ordered the “seasonal dessert,” a chocolate chip cookie bar/brownie. We had a good laugh with the people sitting next to us who ordered the same thing—it turned out to be very dense and a bit hard. Next time she’d probably try a different dessert.

Overall, the value was great, and I would definitely recommend going—especially if you’re doing a little retail therapy before or after at The Ridge Marketplace.
